The Hide will be yours for the FULL day; you can come and go as you wish on the given date.
GRSG first developed a feeding and observation site at Cregagh Wood in 2009. This is now a well-established site and is a must if you want to see Red Squirrels. The wood itself is an excellent example of an old mixed woodland and so provides a variety of habitats and wildlife.
The following wildlife have been spotted at the hide: foxes, pine martens, our local pheasant, great spotted woodpeckers, blue tits, great tits, goldfinches, chaffinches and many, many other woodland birds. On quite a few occasions, we have had more than eight Red Squirrels around the hide at once. What will you see when you are there?
The Hide is within short walking distance of a public road and suitable for wheelchair access. We hope you enjoy your visit
