Glens Reds Squirrels Go Global
The Red Squirrels in the Glens of Antrim are not only to be seen in the Glens, they are now to be seen all over the world. This is due to the advent of our very first Live Cam.
This will be the first of it kind for the Glens Red Squirrel Group and it is also the first Red Squirrel Live Cam in N.Ireland. It is trained on a well used feeder in the Glenariff area. The camera will go live to the world on the 20th of February. Initially we will be broadcasting between 9am and 4pm.
Please do visit in between these times because there will all so be footage of the activities from red squirrels taken outside the Live period. This will allow audiences from all over the world to tune in and see what is happening at the feeder.
The Group are able to run the Live Cam by the help of local sponsorship.
If you wish to sponsor the page or would like more info please contact the group at www.glensredsquirrelgroup.com
The GRSG was formed in 2008 and is working to save the red squirrels in the Glens of Antrim.
From Ballycastle to Glenarm the group provide supplementary feeding, educational talks, squirrel walks, information stands at local events and grey squirrel control.
The Live Cam is one more way the group are trying to engage with people from the Glens and further and show them Live footage of Red Squirrels in the beautiful Glens of Antrim.
The Glens Red Squirrel Group actively encourages locals and visitors to the Glens to get out and about and enjoy the abundance and variety of wildlife the Glens have to offer.
This Live Cam offers a small window into the lives of our Red Squirrels. Enjoy!
