  • Project Support Assistant – Red Squirrels United Project (p/t)

    Location: Ulster Wildlife Offices, McClelland House, 10 Heron Road, Belfast, BT3 9LE.

    Salary: £16,628 – £17,974 (Pro rata) plus access to contributory pension to a maximum of 7% employer contribution

    We’re seeking a project assistant to support the accreditation, delivery and administration of the Red Squirrel United education programme across NI and other elements of the project as necessary, such as supporting and reporting on licensing agreements, processing and analysing scientific data.

    Location: 1 x L/Derry (20 hours); 1 x South Down (22.5 hours); 1 x South Fermanagh (20 hours)

    Salary: £19,327 – £22,739 (pro rata)

    Closing date: Mon, 27/06/2016

    We’re seeking three officers to run events, activities and provide learning opportunities to raise awareness of the impact of non native invasive species on local wildlife, with a particular focus on red squirrels. The officers will work extensively with community groups, businesses, local government and the general public across their respective areas. They will will also assist with monitoring to evaluate impact, collecting and processing scientific data.

    Location: 1 x South Down and 1 x North Antrim

    Salary: £19,327 – £ 22,739

    We’re seeking two Conservation Rangers to undertake and advocate for grey squirrel management and red squirrel conservation throughout North Antrim and South Down. The roles will require the direct management of grey squirrels and the provision of advice and support for landowners to manage non native species to conserve red squirrels in and surrounding remaining strongholds.
